I came across your site by accident. It is a really happy site. I was at New Moston Infants and then New Moston Juniors from about 1952 to 1957, before going on to North Manchester Grammar School. When I was there Mr Walkden was Headmaster, and I remember Mr Wiltshire when I wa in my last year there. It's really good to see the school still thriving with a great atmosphere. I now live in Canterbury, in Kent, but I shall keep an eye on your site to see how you are all getting on.

Hi, I'm in year 8 at Radclyffe now , but I miss primary loads. Believe me, even if you don't like it when you are there, you'll miss it when it's gone. We finally got two weeks off for Christmas but there are only about four days left until we have to go back and it's hard work (especially getting up early :P )

I just want to say thanks to some of my old teachers - Miss Spencer, Mrs Davies, Mrs. Toshkezi and Mr Rendall.- for helping me get this far. New Moston was great and so were most of the teachers =D

New Mosten School is the best , I am in year 5 now, the work is hard or easy my teacher is called Mr Rendal and if you are going to have him it will probably be your best year ever. You have a huge field to play on and play ground. All of my friends helped me every step of the way from nursery to year 5 have a fab time at New Moston School

Only left about 7 weeks ago but feels like years! Coming down with my mum next friday because my school (alti grammer for girls) finish on Thursday!!!! Gud luk to yr 6's in u're SATS, hope u all do well. Many special thanks to all my teachers that i've had! Also thanks to Mrs Wainright( my violin teacher) because doing grade 2 now and my new teacher is called Mrs Janes (can u tell her for me?)! Gud luk to Mrs Toshkezi with her new baby! Hi New Moston i'm missing you a lot and please could you say thank you to Mr. Rendall because he guided me through year 3 when i was nervous at the first point in the juniours(But we had fun and laughs) and to Mrs. Berry fo being there all the way and for the amazing support and Mrs. Waddell who always understood your worries but I had loads there and for helpng me in Year 6.

Hey everyone at new moston! I left new moston primary 4 weeks ago now! Can't belive I have been at new moton primary for 7 years now i've gone- it seems like yesterday i was having my first day at school!!! I am goin to Altrincham Grammer for Girls-i had 2 pass 2 egsams to get in!!!!!!
Many, Many thanks to my childminder(Pam Conner) she is one of the best childminders in great britan-so if u need a childminder then there u go! We do every thing u can think of! Plus after school(it's really good) she gives u a meal!!! I love new moston primary school. I have been there since i was in nusery, and look up to the teachers well. Most of the friends i have are from that school or friends of people from that school! Thanks new moston, miss ya badly! xxxxx

I was at New Moston from 1955 - 1959. The headmaster at that time was Mr Walker. Our day started with a class assembly, once a week we had a whole school assembly. This was always followed by a few minutes reciting our times tables, and I can't tell you how useful this has been to me over the years. Play time brought a bottle of milk, cpmplete with ice in the winter. New Moston gave me an excellent start, I passed my 11+ and went on to North Manchester Grammar School for Girls. My daughter is now a primary school teacher in Coventry very different these days than my time at New Moston!

Argh, I remember our leavers assembly as if it was only yesterday, but it was nearly a year ago. New Moston might not seem as good as it really is, but believe me you'll miss it, lol. Anyway, hope your all okay, Good luck 2 the year 6s in their assembly(especialy Emily Bennett ;-])

hey. i left this school last year. At the time i didnt like it but now im in highschool im missin it loads lmao. primary school is the best time in your life and you should enjoy every minute of it! Unfortunately, i didnt, but i do remember it! Im missin all the teachers and some of my old mates that i dont see much of any more but they are still in my memories :) Anyway i have to go before i get told off :( xxx

News: mrs harland has left, mrs davis has had 2 boys and mrs kristofisen having baby boy.
Leaving this year and gonna be soooooo upset when i leave cause i will pobably never see every one again cause i am going to Altrincham Grammer School For Girls(AGGS)- my sister goes there too, look down page to see her comment.

I came here and I went on to achieve 10 A*s in my GCSE's last summer. Now I'm in my first year of college and I am hoping to get all A's at A-level and study law at university [I am hoping for cambridge]. I will never forget where it all started =]

Just wanted to say hello to staff, pupils and parents as I'm the new school nurse. Its lovely reading all the comments-its clear this school is well-liked and many ex-pupils do miss it when they leave!! I have been a nurse for 25 yrs and worked here in Manchester for 17 yrs(no time off for good behaviour!!)I have 2 grown up boys, an 11yr old daughter and 2 grandsons so I am always busy! It will be nice if you say hi to me if you see me in school ok?

Hi all just like to say had a fab half term (11.2.08)-(15.2.08).Stayed in York for 2 nights and 3 days , went to the pictures,swimming,friends birthday party and horse riding even had time to shop but that wasn't fun as my mum (Mrs Chambers) can shop for Briton-he,he.
Looking forward to next half term (Easter)as off to my house in Spain.

Hi Kids I started my first day at your School in 1937, we had a gill bottle of milk and a spoonful of malt and cod liver oil every day.
We had small cots and had an hours sleep in the afternoon, when we woke up the teacher read a story and then we went home it was very safe at that time and no body was waiting for us at the gate we made our own way hme at five years of age.
When the war was it's worse the school closed and the teacher visited your house and gave you lessons and work to do till she visited again the following week.
I could go on and on with stories about your school but it would take all day, listen to what your teacher tells you and learn all you can as you will need all the education you can get to go far when you leave school.
