New Moston Primary School - From tiny acorns mighty oak trees grow.

Welcome to New Moston Primary School Website

New Moston Community Primary School came into being on the 1st January 2002. It was formed by the amalgamation of New Moston Junior School and New Moston Infant School following the departure of the Junior school Headteacher. The former Infant school Headteacher, Mrs. C. Berry became Headteacher of both schools from January 1st. The new school became  known as New Moston Primary School. Mrs Berry retired inJuly 2009 and was replaced by our current Headteacher Mr R Partington. We currently have approximatly 400 children on roll.
All children will have their class teacher for most lessons, but there is sometimes specialisation in certain subjects. Mrs P Wainwright visits the school each week to give lessons on string instruments to groups of pupils and pupils in Year 3 are taught to play the recorder.  Mr Sinckler visits our school twice a week to give lessons in playing the steel drums. Swimming lessons are taken at Broadway Baths by ASA qualified teachers. Children in Year 4 swim every week.
